It took the organizing committee a while to finally confirm a date to kick off the league.
Committee spokesman and SIFF Development officer, Noel Wagapu said the official opening will take place on Thursday at 3pm at the SIFF Academy.
He said he expects all registered teams to turn up for the opening in their uniforms.
The league however, will commence on Saturday morning.
Wagapu said he will meet again with his committee today to look at other issues pertaining to the league including league fixtures.
Meanwhile, there are no girls' teams in the Under 12 category except in the Under 15 where a total of five teams have registered for the league.
Youth League to Commence on September 30
The SIFF Academy will come alive, Saturday next week when the youth league commences in Honiara.
