The World Vision has received a donation of a quarter of a million dollars from the US Government to assist the affected communities in the Western and Choiseul Province
The USS Stockholm was based at Munda for 11 days distributing food and basic necessities by helicopter including personnel's assisting in multi-fields in the affected communities in both provinces says the National Disaster management Office.
After eleven days assistance the naval ship left Solomon Islands waters last Friday.

Assitance by the World Vision to the affected areas of the Western and Choiseul Province has been boosted.
