Mr. Henry Pika told members of the Public Accounts Committee that with Waisisi, they are awaiting approval and the appointment of an acquisition officer.
Under the Lands and Titles Act, all customary land must be acquired by the government to be registered before any major development takes place.
Mr. Pika said once the officer is appointed work on acquiring the land at Waisisi for the proposed development will take place.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Lands, Mr. Henry Pika said planned development at Waisisi in West Are'are has reached the acquisition stage.
