One of the suspects who is a 23 year old man surrendered himself to Police, after hearing the death of the deceased on the 22 October 2008 at about 11:00am.
The second suspect who is also a 23 year old man was later arrested by Police at Busurata village, on the 4 of November 2008 at about 4:00pm.
Both accused persons have been formally apprehended and investigated as they are remanded in Police custody, with one count each of Murder.
Auki Police Commander Chief Superintendent, Mr. David Diosi sends condolences to the deceased's family but strongly appeals to community leaders, church leaders, families and young people to assist Police in stopping illegal brewing of alcohol.
"Over consumption of illegally brewed alcohol is one of the main causes of untimely death in our young people today and members of public particularly those in influential positions in communities are urged to assist police on this matter," he said.

Two Murder Suspects Arrested in Auki
Police have arrested two murder suspects at Auki, Malaita Province, in relation to an incident, where a 25 year old man died from wounds sustained during a fight at Maoro village, South Malaita on the 17 October 2008.
