The two petitions are against the Member of Parliament for Central Honiara Honorable John Moffat Fugui and the Member for East Honiara Honorable Douglas Ete.
Barnabas Henson and Paul Maenu'u had lodged the petitions against the two MPs and the Electoral Commission.
The allegations in the two petitions cited there were breaches of the regulations Act, and the National Parliament Electoral Provisions Act which includes the illegal registration of voters, bribery and undue influence of voters among others.
Their lawyers made the application to discontinue the two petitions before Judge Edwin Goldsborough yesterday.
Judge Goldsborough then granted permission that they be made in formal statements to the Registry Office according to the Electoral Act regarding Election petitions.
The two cases will appear again at a later date to finalize the withdrawals.
A total of ten election petitions appeared before the Court for mention yesterday.
Most of them will appear again before the High Court next month.
