Reports say TSI is investigating claims children of politicians are receiving preferential treatment.

The acting executive officer Shepherd Lapo, in a recent media interview, said 8 of the 12 students who were recently awarded scholarships were children of Members of Parliament.

Mr Lapo alleges that some of those students did not meet the Ministry of Education's selection criteria for awarding scholarships, which state that applicants must have completed Form 7.

But Mr Lapo said information received by TSI claim some MP's children being awarded these scholarships despite having only reached Form 6.
