Mr Pollard says if the unions start demanding the kind of increases which members of parliament have received, the entire economy will be in ruins.
He says the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Solomon Islands Council of Trade Union have done the right thing by demanding a scrapping of new and increased parliamentary entitlements.

TSI Disapproves Demands for Increase COLA From Government
Chairman of Transparency Solomon Islands, Bob Pollard, says whilst the demands of trade unions for salary and COLA increases are understandable, the country could face total break down if everyone takes on the same kind of behaviour as MPs.
