Police Media reports that the accident took place near the old KGVI market around 8.00pm last night.
The deceased was reportedly hit and killed at the scene by a three tonne truck, which was heading in to town.
Police were unable to obtain any death report from medical authorities as the body was taken from the scene by relatives of the deceased.
Kukum Traffic police officers have spoken to the driver of the vehicle, and several witnesses in relation to the fatal accident.
Investigation is continuing.
