The workshop, organized by the Isabel Tourism Office, was for current operators and those interested in entering the industry.
Topics ranged from tourism marketing to tourism awareness for the local community.
The workshop resources persons were from the Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau, Ministry of Tourism, tour operators and a local tourism training company.
The Solomon Islands Visitors Bureau was represented at the workshop by Nelson Manepura.

A weekend-long Tourism Workshop was held in Buala in Isabel from October 29 to November 2.
