The female allegedly gave birth and then buried the baby boy.
The baby was born early on Friday morning around 7:00am at the teenage girl's residence.
Police were notified later in the day that the baby boy had been buried shortly after birth.
Police recovered the baby from the burial site and he was taken to the National Referral Hospital for required medical examinations.
The teenage girl was charged with infanticide.
The Police investigation is continuing.

A 15-year-old female from Fulisango was arrested on Friday last week and charged with infanticide.
