Prime Minister Danny Philip formally received the funds yesterday on behalf of the government.
He thanked Taiwan for the ongoing support towards the development aspiration of the government and people of Solomon Islands.
Government Communications Unit reports the money was released after ROC received acquittal reports of the first funding through the Ministry of Rural Development from the 47 constituencies.
Three remaining constituencies will receive their funds after providing their acquittal reports.
Taiwan Releases More Funds for Development
Ambassador of the Republic of China, Taiwan to Solomon Islands Roy Wu has released SB$14 million dollars towards assisting development in 47 constituencies of the country.
