Suidani Defeats Motion
The motion of no confidence against Malaita Province Premier Daniel Suidani has failed.

Premier Suidani was confident going into the vote, stating that the motion is just to satisfy the intention of certain MPAs.

24 Members of the Malaita Provincial Assembly (MPAs) voted against the motion to oust Premier Suidani. 9 voted in favor.
Premier Suidani was confident going into the vote, stating that the motion is just to satisfy the intention of certain MPAs.
The Malaita Provincial Speaker Ronnie Butala allowed the motion to proceed after seeking advise from the Attorney Generals Chambers.
In a turn of event, the Speaker himself will face a motion of no confidence, Premier Daniel Suidani issued a notice against the Speaker yesterday.
Premier Daniel Suidani and the MARA executive says that they no longer have trust in the leadership of the Malaita Provincial Speaker Mr. Butala.
