A Government Delegation led by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Employment and Immigration, Barnabas Anga will travel to Malaita this morning.
The signing ceremony will take place at Suava Bay in North Malaita.
The signing of the MOU will allow entry for government workers into the Suava Bay area to conduct necessary preliminary work before the actual start of the Suava Bay project.
The Government is planning to build a commercial center in the area as part of its approach to rural development.
A separate Fish Processing Facility is also planned to be established alongside the Suava Bay Commercial Center.
Suava Bay Project Going Ahead
The National Government will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Suava Bay Project with the Malaita Provincial Government and Tribal Landowners of Suava Bay today.
