This follows threats of power disconnection to its premises by the Solomon Islands Electricity Authority.
The SIEA has advised SIBC to pay its outstanding debt of over 300-thousand dollars by the end of this month or face being disconnected from power supplies.
Following an extraordinary meeting Monday, the SIBC Board has pleaded with all government ministries to pay up their dues to the national broadcaster to enable it to pay its own debt with SIEA.
Secretary to Prime Minister Jerry Manele, in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of the SIBC Board, has written to all government ministries and departments, requesting them to assist by paying up their bills.
Government ministries and departments have an outstanding debt of over 800-thousand dollars to SIBC.
