The Australian High Commissioner to Solomon Islands, Peter Hooton, and his wife, Reni Hooton, will host the reception on behalf of the Government and people of Australia.
Government officials, Australian citizens working and residing in the country and a cross section of the country's community are expected to be guests at tonight's ceremony.
Australia's relationship with Solomon Islands had been cordial over the past decades.
Australia has been one of Solomon Islands' biggest partners in development and nation building.
Solomons' Australian High Commission to Commemorate Australia Day
The Australian Day will be marked in Honiara with a reception at the Australian High Commission official residence this evening.
