Dr Sikua was responding to media remarks that the Prime Minister is still undecided on the date for the commencement of the next parliament sitting.

Dr Sikua says that according to reliable government sources, parliament will not sit until November or December when it must meet to debate the 2011 Appropriation Bill 2012.

Dr Sikua said the Danny Philip-led Government has outlined various reform policies in its policy statement.

However, he said the government's indecisiveness on when parliament should sit purposely to debate the proposed reforms shows "lack of seriousness about the reforms which would require two-thirds support of parliament to be legislated."

The Opposition Leader also criticized the approach taken by the government in not responding to concerns and questions raised by the Opposition and members of the public saying it is "a mockery to the concept of good governance."

He said the Opposition has been mandated by the national constitution to ensure all decisions taken by the government are made in the best interest of Solomon Islanders.
