Some residents have already experienced some minor flooding.
People residing near the river banks have been warned that the river may continue to rise and this may cause localised flooding.
Residents are urged to move inland or to higher ground if the water continues to rise.
Rising River Due to Heavy Rain
The Solomon Islands Police Force has been advised that the northern area of the Lungga River is rising due to the heavy rain.
