Mr. Gabriel Suri, the Solomon Islands Attorney General, revealed that the Samoan government has confirmed that it will give the jurisdiction to Solomon Islands.

There is now enough evidence to charge the Samoan officer, whose name has not been released.

The Solomon Islands Acting Police Commissioner, Peter Marshall says the investigation into the crash case is now complete.

However, Commissioner Marshall will not be revealing specific details of the possible charges of the RAMSI officer, who is currently held at the RAMSI headquarters at Henderson.

Ms. Hilda Ilabae was hit by the vehicle driven by the Samoan RAMSI officer, while walking home from church with her house mates.
