The visit makes it Prime Minister Sikua's second official visit since taking office in December.
Prime Minister Sikua leads a high level delegation consisting of about eight Government Ministers.
The high level delegation left for Western Province this morning on two chartered flights.
He is expected to meet premier Alex Lokopio and his provincial Executive before returning to Honiara early Tuesday.
Dr. Sikua last week paid a courtesy call on the Premier of Malaita province and his provincial Executive in a one-day visit to the Provincial capital, Auki.
Doctor Sikua had taken an early decision to pay brief visits to the main provinces in the country as a diplomatic measure to show his government is committed to uniting Solomon Islands.
