The 15 year old boy was reported missing to Police that afternoon, where a missing child alert was immediately issued.
He was last seen with a group of boys near the Lungga Bridge, wearing a T-shirt and short pants. He has a slim body with brown hair and brown skin.
Anyone with information is asked to call their nearest police post.
Meanwhile, Acting Honiara Provincial Commander Inspector Charles Kaukui says far too many parents and guardians are not taking extra precaution in looking after their children during this festive season.
Mr Kaukui said that the Police have already received quite a number of reports of missing children in the past week alone. He said during this festive season celebrations sometimes get out of hand, so it is very important to ensure that children do not wonder off alone, even if it is within the neighborhood.

Police are appealing to communities of the Burns Creek area to look out for a 15 year old boy who has been missing since Wednesday 22nd December 2010.
