Police Media Unit reports that more than 20 officers from the Liquor Licensing Squad, general duty officers from Honiara City Police and Participating Police Force Advisors, supported by the Police Response Team (PRT), executed a search warrant and seized a number carton of alcohol.
The seized alcohol which is estimated to have a street value of more than $1,000 is being stored at the Honiara City Police Station as evidence.
The 57-year-old man was also taken to the Police Station where he was charged with illegal sale of liquor.
He has since been bailed on condition and is expected to appear in court on 15 February 2010.

Police arrested a 57-year-old man from Tawanaora Village, East Are'are in Malaita, for allegedly selling liquor without license at his residence in the West Kola Ridge area at approximately 8.00pm last night.
