The Opposition last week admitted having made payments to a certain government minister but stated that it was done in good faith. The Opposition would not reveal the amount of money paid to the minister nor his name.
One minister last week handed the Prime Minister a sum of 50-thousand dollars allegedly paid to him by a businessman - a supposed agent of the Opposition.
The Prime Minister would not reveal the name of the Minister who turned the money in saying the matter is now before Police.
Police Investigates Bribery Scandal
The Police Media Unit has confirmed on the SIBC that Police have received a report of the alleged bribery and investigations are underway. No charges have been laid as yet.
