The 36-year-old is reported to have been arrested after he allegedly set fire to his brother's dwelling on Saturday at Fulisango Village, East Honiara.

Police report said the house was severely damaged as a result of the fire.

The suspect was bailed to appear at the Honiara Magistrates Court on 27 February 2008.

Meanwhile, Honiara police have, on the weekend, attended to 35 calls for assistance.

Police Media reports that eighteen people were arrested for anti-social behaviour, arson, larceny, trespassing and traffic-related offences.
