Speaking during a media conference in Honiara, Police Commissioner Peter Marshall says they are not expecting any public mischief but police visibility will be very high prior and on the day of the election of the Prime Minister, on Wednesday August 25.
Mr Marshall says there will be a road check by police to ensure people who enter the parliament premises do so with legitimate reasons.
Meanwhile, the Police Commissioner says there will be a liquor ban for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday next week.
He says they will be having discussions with the Ministry of Home Affairs for the possibility of having a public holiday declared for the election day of Prime Minister.
