Police investigations into the matter revealed that a fight broke out between two groups at Bulokolae village and the 34 year old man suffered a deep cut to his left arm which may have contributed to his death. Police are still awaiting the results of an autopsy conducted on the man.
The arrested suspect, who was charged with murder, has been remanded in custody to appear on the 25 January 2010.
Police are urging residents of the Aola Village and nearby communities to assist Police with its investigations in relation to the incident.

Police detectives have arrested and charged a 34 year old man from the Aola area in East Guadalcanal, following the death of a man over the weekend.
