Speaking to SIBC yesterday, the Special Secretary to Prime Minister, Andrew Muaki, says the PER was in existence since the end of April this year.
Muaki says the publication of the PER by TSI seems to indicate that it is the "current government that made the increases in parliamentary entitlements to members of Parliament."
The Special Secretary to Prime Minister says already people are thinking this government is responsible for the PER 2010, which is incorrect.
Mr Muaki says this is clear in a recent public forum organized by the TSI where a USP academic allegedly questioned the current government's decision for the increases.
PMO Disappointed with TSI
The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) is disappointed with Transparency Solomon Islands (TSI) for not qualifying the publication of the Parliamentary Entitlement Regulations (PER).
