Speaking at Be Mobile's network launch in Gizo, Western Province last Friday Prime Minister Philip says "this move is not only strategic but vital in assisting the government to fulfill it's mandate."

He says Solomon Islands need investors who are genuine and sincere and Bemobile has demonstrated it's sincerity by putting resources into areas where others have ignored.

Meanwhile Mr. Philip also acknowledged the CNURA government's facilitation of Be Mobile into the country's telecommunication industry, which up to now had been a monopoly.

He says the launch of Bemobile's network has brought the country to a new threshold of a new partnership and a new beginning for governments, the private sector and other stakeholders.

Prime Minister Philip says a new beginning is in line with the government policy to give life, meaning and value to ownership of resources by the people.
