The dialogue will be attended by the Ministry's keey partners from various government ministries, donor agencies and non state organisations involved in post conflict peace building in the country.
MNURP is also supported by the UNDP Pacific Centre in Fiji, through financial and technical assistance.
The three day event is aimed at bringing together stakeholders to share their capacities and experiences in a dialogue process towards the formulation of a partnership framework for cooperation and coordination in the country's peace building process and a national peace building policy framework for Solomon islands.
The partnership framework will enhance the cooperation and coordination of peace building efforts by stakeholders while the peace building policy is expected to identify policy objectives, outcomes and mechanisms for implementation to guide peace building efforts.
On the second day of dialogue, the Ministry will observe the International Peace Day initiated by the United Nations in 1981 to commemorate and reaffirm commitment towards global peace.
The special program features a key note address from the Peace Minister Hypolite Taremae and peace message from women and youth representatives and a peace vigil.
The theme for this years International Peace Day is 'Make Your Voice Heard' - focusing on peace and democracy.
