Services offered include primary care services, optometry (eye exams, glasses) and basic dental care (cleaning, examinations and extractions).
Clinics will be held at the following locations and times:
August 7-8: Visale (Guadalcanal)
August 11-14: Kailuufi Hospital (Malaita)
August 16-19: Good Samaritan Hospital (Guadalcanal)
The clinics will be open from 9:00am to 4:00pm but will close at noon on August 14 and August 19.
Registration for medical and dental care will end each day when the maximum capacity is reached. This will be before 4pm each day and is dependent upon a number of factors including the type and severity of cases and the number of medical providers, volunteers and translators available.
Pacific Partnership works by, with and through the Government of Solomon Islands, partner nations, non-governmental organizations and other U.S. government and international agencies to undertake a variety of humanitarian civic assistance (HCA) missions from a ship dedicated to this HCA mission. This year's mission will be focused ashore with a variety of engineering, medical and dental civic action programs providing humanitarian civic assistance to the people of Solomon Islands.
Pacific Partnership Offers Free Medical Services
The United States Pacific Partnership mission will offer free medical and dental care on Guadalcanal and Malaita over the next 13 days.
