The accidental screening of obscene materials at the Premiers' Conference in Temotu Province was by a senior official of the Ministry of Provincial Government.
The Acting Leader of the Opposition, Japhet Waipora encourages the government to speed up its investigation into the matter and take appropriate actions against officials responsible.
According to Mr Waipora, the incident reflects badly on the Minister for Provincial Government as it demonstrates carelessness in the preparation for such an important leaders meeting.
Waipora says that the Minister should apologize to all the leaders attending the conference and ensure that such an incident would not happen again.
