Reports from the northern part of Malaita Province stated that Jimmy 'Rasta' Lusibaea was among other former MEF members who were "newly baptised souls".
Witnessing the baptism, Lensley Kwaimani from North Malaita described the ocassion as "the dawn of a new day" as the former militants "publicly showed to the world and men the sign of repentance".
Mr. Lusibaea and the other former MEF members have sought forgiveness from the communities.
The occasion was organised by the Zion Local Church of the South Seas Evangelical Church in Malu'u, North Malaita.

The baptism of a former Malaita Eagle Force (MEF) Commander has been described as "the greatest [Easter] gift for the people of North Malaita".
