The swearing in ceremony is the first of its kind for a Justice.
Justice Izuoka of Nigeria made her oath before the Governor General and other High Court representatives today.
Governor General Sir Nathaniel Waena described the occasion as "a new chapter for the national judiciary of Solomon Islands".
Sir Nathaniel said that the swearing in of Justice Izuoka marks the first entry for the country.
Justice Izuoka is in the country to help in the strengthening of the work of the High Court in its delivery of justice to the people of the Solomon Islands.
The Governor General congratulated Hon. Izuoka on her duty and wished her best as she carries out her duty in the country.
New Puisne Judge for Solomons
A new Puisne Judge for the High Court of Honiara was sworn in before His Excellency the Governor General of Solomon Islands at the Government House.
