The AusAID-funded building house, the IPAM, is a government-owned institution that has conducted over sixty courses, including thirteen in the provinces, according to RAMSI Special Coordinator, Tim George, who spoke at the launching ceremony.
IPAM Training range from Public Service induction courses, senior executive development, record management and financial management trainings. The main aim of IPAM is to strengthen government institutions to ensure services are delivered effectively.
The IPAM was closed some six years ago due to lack of funding from the government. Some senior public servants believe that the closure of IPAM has contributed to the steady decline in the competency levels of public servants today.
New IPAM Complex Dedicated to Late Sanga
The Ministry of Public Service dedicates its new Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) complex to the late East Malaita Member of Parliament, Hon. Joses W. Sanga.
