The two-day convention gathers women across the Solomon Islands to discuss issues of political leadership and the challenges to women's participation in decision-making at the government level.
The convention's agenda include the 2010 National Elections, the political party bill and progress of the constitutional reform.
An official convention dinner has also been scheduled for tomorrow night and will be hosted by the Minister for Women, Youth and Children Affairs, Johnson Koli.
The women's convention is organised by the Women in Shared Decision Making Working Group - co-chaired by the Solomon Islands National Council of Women and the Ministry of Women, Youth and Children Affairs.
