Being the first meeting for the current Sikua led coalition government, many will be watching closely how the government's policies will be expressed in the budget.
The 2008 National Budget will be presented by the Minister for Finance and Treasury, Hon. Snyder Rini. The PMO has confirmed that the Cabinet is in the process of finalizing the Budget along with the speech from the Throne.
The Parliament Public Accounts Committee will meet on the 13th of this month to carefully examine the 2008 National Budget.
As the Cabinet is currently still to finalize the budget, no details on its contents are available at this point in time.
National Parliament Meets on March 17th
The Prime Minister's Office has confirmed that the first meeting of the National Parliament for this year 2008 will be on March 17th.
