Speaking to Solomon Times, the Premier, Mr Salani, stated that the motion has been discussed thoroughly by the current executive, but due to a death within the administration, the motion was deferred for Thursday.

Mr. Salani said that prior to the motion he intends to hold talks with Guadalcanal leaders to clear any misunderstanding that may have arisen due to the leadership challenge.

"It is a chance where the people of Guadalcanal themselves come and listen to my side of the story...at the moment what they are hearing is from the opposition members," he said.

Irrespective of the outcome of the motion Mr. Salani said that the budget should be tabled straight after the motion.
