Police confirm that the man was found near the Babanakira area yesterday afternoon by local people trekking across Guadalcanal. Police confirms that Mr Stevens was fine when they found him.
A police search and rescue crew winched Mr Stevens from the jungle floor this afternoon and he was flown to the Aspen Medical Centre at the RAMSI base GBR, Honiara around 1pm.

Missing Belgian Found
Dries Stevens, a Belgian who was among people missing during last week's bad weather, has been found.
