The Police Media Unit says that police investigation revealed that 12 year-old girl was walking home with her three siblings towards Karaina settlement.
The unit says the accused allegedly grabbed the victim and attempted to drag her to the nearby bush.
It says the suspect fled the scene when he was disrupted by members of the public who witnessed the incident.
It added that the incident was immediately reported to Police and the suspect was arrested.
The accused is expected to appear at the Honiara Magistrate Court on 22 November 2010.
Man Arrested on Sexual Assault
Police have arrested and charged a male juvenile in relation to an indecent assault incident on a 12 year-old girl near the Karaina community at White River over the weekend.
