Dr. Sikua was charged during his time as Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Education for driving a vehicle under the influence of liquor.
The Prime Minister had pleaded not guilty to the charges laid against him.
Solomon Times was informed that the adjournment is due to the Prime Minister being away abroad on official tour.
Magistrates Vass has adjourned the hearing for further mention on February 5th, and a possible trial on the matter on 18th February.

The Honiara Magistrates Court adjourned court hearing on a case against the Prime Minister Dr. Derek Sikua.
