General Secretary of the Forum William Gua says the committee will meet later today in Honiara to start work on the Constitution.
He says despite criticisms of the proposed party from various people, the Forum is determined to have the party ready to contest next year's National General elections.
Mr Gua says the committee will later hold meetings to get views from people of Malaita who want to contribute ideas to the party.
He says the Forum observes that present Malaita members of Parliament are not pursing major developments in the province.
Mr Gua says one of the party's objectives is to pursue the unity and development of Malaita.
Maasina Forum Works on Malaita Political Party Constitution
The Malaita Maasina Forum has formed a committee to work on a Constitution of the Malaita Political Party.
