Chief Superintendent, Peter Aoranisaka, said that a team from the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) will go down to get accurate information on the bombs found in the area.
He said that officers from the EOD unit are currently still busy in other operations in Honiara but confirmed police will go to Yandina early 2009.
Chief Supt. Aoranisaka appealed to people of Russell Islands to keep out of the area as some bombs might have very dangerous gases.
He said the EOD team has up-to-date equipment so it would not be a problem for them to dispose of the bombs safely.
