Late Patrick Campbell was accompanied by his cousin, his friend, a USP Solomon Island Student Association executive, his lecturer and the USP Student Association President.
Late Patrick Campbell's body was then taken to the Saint Barnabas Cathedral for the funeral service which was attended by hundreds of his relatives and friends.
The funeral service was also attended by the Minister for Education, Hon. Job Dudley Tausinga, and Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Myelin Kuve and the Director for Honiara USP Centre.
Late Patrick Campbell was said to have died at the Suva Colonial War Memorial Hospital after being admitted following an infection.
His body was taken to his homeland in the Makira Province for burial. The chartered boat left Honiara at 9pm last night.
Late Patrick's passing was a loss for the Makira Province and the Solomon Islands as a whole.

Yesterday, the body of Late Patrick Campbell, a third year law student, arrived in Honiara to his family.
