Sir Allan was found guilty of demanding money with menace, intimidation and larceny. He will be sentenced on December 3rd.
In his passing judgment, Honiara Magistrate, Chris Vaas, stated that he was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Sir Allan gave instructions to a group of men to carry out the attack while he was in office as Prime Minister.
Magistrate Vaas says an appeal against the sentence can only be made after the date of the sentence.
Kemakeza risks loosing his seat if he is sentenced for more then six months.
Kemakeza found Guilty by Magistrates Court
Former Prime Minister and current deputy Speaker of Parliament, Sir Allan Kemakeza, has been found guilty by the Magistrates Court over a 2002 attack on a law firm in Honiara.
