Speaking during a ceremony to hand over the AOC yesterday afternoon ICSI Chairman, Peter Boyers, says the Solomon Airlines is the "star of the Solomon Island Government's state owned enterprises."
He says Solomon Airlines has been making considerable headway since a somewhat lackluster performance in the recent past.
"That goes to show the accountability and the capacity of the Solomon Airlines Board and Management," said Mr Boyers.
"This goes to show that at the end of the day we can provide an accountable and responsible service under a state owned enterprise."
ICSI Congratulates Solomon Airlines
The Solomon Islands Government's investment arm, the Investment Cooperation of Solomon Islands, or ICSI, has congratulated the Solomon airlines for its "constructive engagement which resulted in the national carrier attaining its historic Air Operators Certificate, AOC."
