The bones were found early yesterday morning by construction workers digging inside the school's compound at Rove for a new form six classroom building. The remains were found less than two feet below surface level.

SIBC News reported that the workers had already removed the leg and hand bones of the unidentified person.

Meanwhile, local archeologist from the National Museum John Keopo and two forensic specialists, Dr David Griffiths and Professor Peter Ellias, who were at the site say that initial examination of the bone structures, suggested that the remains could be that of a Japanese.

However Mr Keopo says proper examinations will be carried out to determine its true identity.
