Lawyer Andrew Nori revealed to SIBC that his client, legal draftsman Ranjit Hewagama, will issue a statement tomorrow in response to allegations of non performance leveled at him by Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare.
Mr. Nori said his client recognized his foreign status working in Solomon Islands on invitation by the Solomon Islands. He told SIBC that Mr. Hewagama never stated nor made a public statement that would justify his termination.
Prime Minister Sogavare terminated Mr. Hewagama, who has been government's legal draftsman since 1985, on grounds that he was not performing his duties as expected.
