Mr Panga made the call following the assault on the minister for health and medical services and MP for east Guadalcanal Johnson Koli by a disgruntled voter outside the Parliament building last Friday.
He says leaders, whether political, community, youth, women or church must be given the respect due to them.
Mr Panga says any personal grievances should be taken through the normal channels, engaging elders through dialogue and discussions.
He says the Guadalcanal provincial government condemns last Friday's assault against one of the Province's leaders in the strongest terms.
