The coalition government for national unity and rural advancement, CNURA, has promised to address pressing developmental issues facing the country.
Sources within the Prime Minister's Office have confirmed that there are no major policy adjustments diplomatically or in the government's developmental approach. "We will just be more focused and we will not allow self interests to override that of the country."
Dr. Sikua has also committed his government to the State Government system, a process that has taken close to five years.
Prime Minister Sikua stated that permanent secretaries will be given until Wednesday next week to put together a draft on the translation and implementation of the policy statement.
He says it is important to have the document ready as soon as possible as government plans to hold talks with donor partners in the first week of February.
