The Minister of Finance today released the preliminary Government financial results for the year ending June.
The Ministry of Finance says this represents a significant increase over the same period last year which was SBD$781.6 million dollars.
The Ministry says the total expenditure to June was about SBD$872 million dollars.
The Ministry of Finance says these figures exclude budget support and other non appropriated donor support which government received and spent during the period.
Meanwhile, all Government Ministries are now preparing their budget submissions for 2012.
It is understood that bidding for various projects will begin soon, with infrastructure development high on the governments development agenda for 2012.
Government Records Surplus
Government has recorded a surplus of about SBD$143 million dollars for the financial year to June against an estimated surplus of about SBD$51 million dollars.
