While admitting there are problems encountered in the preparation stage, the Under Secretary for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Moses Tepai says there is no turning back as the committee works towards hosting this regional event.
He said past hosts of the event had faced similar challenges but by working together, they were able to achieve their aims.
Mr Tepai said the Melanesian Spearhead Group Ministers of Art and Culture are currently in Honiara, not only for their meeting, but also to give moral support to work towards the festival.
Meanwhile, the Festival's organizing committee today launched its official web site.
Chairman of the organizing committee Sir George Lepping said the launching marks another milestone in the development progress of the committee's preparations for hosting of the festival in 2012.
